An Actual Craft

Hello World!  I hope the weekend treated you well.  Today I want to show you a little craft that I did.  A few months back I bought this plate rack from Home Goods for $6.99.  Sorry for the crookedness.

 Here's a little close-up.

I had the hardest time finding plates that would fit this plate rack.  The plates were either too big or way too small.  I think I know why it was only $6.99.  So, instead of taking it back, I thought I should go to Hobby Lobby and see what I could find.

I picked up three little wooden discs for $1.47 a piece.

I had some stencils on hand as well as craft paint and some glaze.

Here she is now in her new home in the voice studio.

Can't believe I had to actually do a craft for this plate rack.  Oh well. One must do what one must do.  Anyhoo, thanks for dropping in for a wee visit.  Hope you have a grand evening and remember to be kind to one another.

Toodles,
Kathryn

  1. Well, I think despite the fact you couldn't find plates to fit your plate rack you certainly came up with a great alternative. It turned out very nice!

It fits in really nice with your decor.

  2. You couldn't have found a more perfect spot for this plate rack. It looks like it was made for that little piece of wall. Great job!

  4. That was a very pretty solution to your problem of not having plates to fit the plate rack. I like the "plates" and the designs on them. I would like to invite you to show them at Your Cozy Home Party. We are showing anything related to making a home pretty and cozy. Your plates certainly fit the requirements. Hope you can come. I just found your blog and like what I see. I will be back to see what other crafty things you do.------ Shannon
