Easy Gardening with Miracle-Gro

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gro-ables for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hello World!  As most of you are aware of, we are super busy around here getting ready to move.  So, time is of the essence.  One of the things I have missed doing was the annual Spring planting.  There was just no time for digging in the earth while getting the house ready to be put on the market. Needless to say, I was super excited to try the new product Gro-ables from Miracle-Gro.

Gro-ables takes the guesswork out of gardening and growing your own food.  It also simplifies the process so that it doesn't have to be overwhelming and confusing.  Check out the video below for more information.

I was so excited when I received my Gro-ables because I wanted to grow cilantro so I could make some Cilantro Cream Sauce to use on my Grilled Shrimp Tacos.

The Gro-ables is so easy to use and the directions are very clear and concise.  Below is what the pods look like.  Kinda cute, huh?

Super easy to use.  Peel the top off and plop it in your planter of choice surrounded by some soil.  No need to cover the top with soil.  Keep moist and watch for the sprouts.

My cilantro hasn't sprouted yet, but it should be any day now.  But, in the meantime, here is one of the recipes I use to make Cilantro Cream Sauce.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softenend
1 tablespoon sour cream
1 (7 ounce) can tomatillo salsa
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
Combine cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, pepper, celery salt, cumin, garlic powder, cilantro and lime juice in a blender or food processor.  Blend until smooth and creamy.  Place in a serving bowl.

You can be sure that once my cilantro is ready I will be whipping up some Cilantro Cream Sauce.

Also, you must check out the Sprout It website for more information on various gardens you can create with the Miracle-Gro pods.  Here's the link for the Salsa Garden.

What dish would you make from something you have grown with Gro-ables?  I would love to hear about it.

Thanks for popping in for a visit and remember to be kind to one another!  Joy to the Full!

Toodles,

  1. Do you use this as an actual sauce or more as a dip? Cilantro is one of my favorite herbs...I use it in everything. Can't wait to try this recipe.
