Christmas Touches and Day 4 of the 'Tis the Season Christmas Home Tour

Hello World!  I thought I would show you a little of my Christmas decor that will not be on the tour.  Also, next week, I will be sharing the upstairs Playroom tree and the Village.
I've decided to leave our Christmas dishes out on the table.  Easy to get to and they're pretty.
Mr.  Rooster is making another appearance deck out with some Christmas finery.  How do you like my festive pail filled with Christmas napkins and dishes?
I love the happy accident of the sun spot on the above picture.

Christmas Tree candle flanked by Santa and Snowman salt and pepper shakers.
My pretty lamp sitting on and end table sharing its light.
 Rustic wooden tree and snowman.
Pinecones, ornaments and greenery make a petty display.

 Some of my favorite colors.
 The entryway china hutch garland.

There's a peek of the dining room Christmas tree.

Looking through the china hutch at more Christmas decor that you will see up close on the Christmas Home tour on Saturday.
The blue and white wreath that resides on the pantry door.
Look at that bad cat!  Nothing got broken...thank goodness.  But, it was funny.  This is Misty.  Yes, she is a new cat.  I think we have become a home for wayward cats.  Misty and the kitten Cozette have become great friends.  Camille was not too excited to have another cat in the house.  But, all are adjusting.  Now for some sad news.  We are still at three cats.  Colette, the mama cat is no longer with us.  After she had weaned the kittens, we took her in to get her spayed.  She did fine through the surgery and a week after her surgery she went outside several times to explore.  I believe she was an inside/outside cat prior to coming to our house and was an inside/outside cat while she was pregnant.  After she gave birth we kept her inside since she had gone back into heat.  The day I let her out she came back three different times.  On the fourth time, she never came back.  We were so sad for little Cozette.  But, then Misty showed up.  So crazy.  It's been a couple of months since Colette left us.  I still look for her when I'm out in the neighborhood.  Hopefully, if she had a home prior to coming to our house, she went back there.

Oh, and despite little Misty's romp through the Christmas tree, she is the sweetest cat.  She has adopted Mr. Dedicated as her human.

Alright, enough of the home for wayward cats.  Let's get to the Christmas Home tour for today.

  10. Your BLUE Christmas decorations are so lovely. I really like the garland on your hutch. Oh no, your cat is into mischief. So glad he didn't break anything. I guess he wanted to be part of the pictures.

Thank you for stopping by today for the blog tour. I'll be back tomorrow to see all your goodies.

  12. I like leaving Christmas dishes out handy too, else it's too easy to forget to use them. And I love your blue and gold colors. Is that wallpaper in the back of your china hutch, Kathryn? Very pretty.

I'm glad you showed us some decor pictures here that won't be included Saturday. I think I will after our Saturday on the tour. I just could not manage to get up more posts this week before it.

It's hard when a pet disappears like that. I hope she found someone who would be nice to her, and maybe she will return. All of the cats we've ever had have been ones that walked up the driveway and said, "I'm yours now." We've never had to buy a cat!

  13. Kathryn, Every thing is so bright and pretty. Your china cabinet filled with the blue and white china pieces and decorated with such a pretty garland caught my attention right away. You have your holiday spirit all together. I love Christmas decorating too, but I have been so overwhelmed this year. The mantle is almost done. The trees are up, but not finished. I am trying to figure out how to get the "I've been featured button" onto my blog. I have tried several times. Any info you can share on how to do this is appreciated (I am really technology challenged).

  14. The garland on the hutch is so pretty!! I don't need to do any more trees but your blue has got me itchin' to do a blue theme!

I have to admit I love that cat pic, glad nothing was damaged. My kitties are getting older they just lay under the tree, gone are the days of the Christmas tree crashing in the middle of the night thank goodness.
