A Couple of Features

Hello World!  I know, you're thinking, I either fell off the face of the earth or I got lost in my local Goodwill. I didn't fall off the earth, just went to the beach.  However, I did manage to run to Goodwill to pick up some little treasures before we left for our mini getaway to the beach.  You will get to see them in all of their potential prettiness next week.  When we got home, I was pleased to find that some of my little Goodwill finds had been featured on a couple of the blogs I had recently partied with.  The Brambleberry Cottage (don't you just love her blog name?) and My Repurposed Life (again, such a great blog name) were kind enough to feature my little Goodwill finds.  Here are a couple of pics to refresh your memory.

Go visit these lovely blogs and poke around a bit and leave a comment or two or three.  So, not to leave you hanging, I got some pretty nice shots at the beach.  Sit back, relax and enjoy.

 A beautiful moon rising.

Our guardian owl to keep the birds away from the porch.   It works.

View from our front porch of the beach house.

Me and the Dedicated Daughter.

What we built.  When I wasn't reading, I was playing in the sand with the family.

Our castle.

Sunrise.

Sunrise.

Now, it's back to the grind.  No more Oreos, and watching 2 movies in a row.  No more lazing on the sand with my nose in a book.  No more late nights.  Did I mention, no more Oreos...I cannot keep these in the house.  I cannot eat just one.  I have a serious Oreo problem.  But, I'm excited about the grind.  I like schedules.  Always have.  I like having goals.  I like starting new Bible studies.  I like doing lesson plans for teaching the Dedicated Daughter piano, voice and basic French.  So much to look forward to.  The only thing I will not give up from the summer is my nose in a book before I go to sleep.  So, let the grind begin.  O blessed schedules!

That's all for now.  Must finish the beach laundry.  Please go visit The Brambleberry Cottage and My Repurposed Life.  They really are just the best. Come back soon and remember to be kind to one another.

Toodles,
Kathryn

  1. Love the pictures at the beach! :) I need a schedule. I do seem to get the most done when I have a normal routine. Problem is, nothing is normal around these parts. :)
thanks for linking back to me for your feature!

  8. Your vacation looks wonderful! And I'm envious of your warm weather. We're into the put-on-a-sweater-and-light-the-fireplace mode here, especially in the mornings. But the days are glorious as fall knocks on our door. Enjoy your days!
