The Continuation of a Story - Goodwill and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint

Hello World!  Happy Friday and best wishes for a pleasant weekend!  It has been crazy busy around here this week, but I did manage to finish the little table I snatched up at Goodwill.  It took some doing, but I think she turned out just fine.  Here is a peek at what she looks like after a bit of work.  

Now, here is what she looked like before, fresh from the store. 

Here is a pic during sanding.  The little ridge wouldn't budge.  My Dedicated Nephew, Justin tried to "chisel" it off as well.  That didn't work either.  So, she has several imperfections...oh well, don't we all?

The Dedicated Nephews, Justin ( in the cap), Gregory, and Grant!  It was Justin who was kind enough to chisel out another piece of wood adding to her character...lol. 

Now, a couple of pics after one coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White was applied.

How do you like the stacks of video cassettes and paint cans surrounding the cat carrier?  Nice, huh?

Got a wee bit of a shine on her. 

Here she is after a shopping trip in my house.  This will not be her final resting place.  It was just the best place in the house to take pictures.

I love, love, love her legs and all her imperfections and missing chunks of wood.  Who knew Annie Sloan Chalk Paint would boost Goodwill's sales.  I'm glad to contribute.  I like the little table even though there is a debate happening at The Dedicated House with the Dedicated Husband on her perfect placement.
