Hello World! It's the beginning of the year and it seems everyone is focused on making the most out of their time; either cleaning out and organizing or working on fitness goals. Or, maybe both! This year I wanted to try a new approach to managing my time in order to get more accomplished. I usually buy only one planner, but this year I purchased two. I'm still a write it down kind of girl. I do keep a digital calendar on my phone and laptop, but for the most part, I write everything down on a daily basis.
Today's post is a review of the Start Planner. Just to let you know, I was not compensated for this post. I bought the planner and have been using it since the beginning of the year and have been extremely pleased with it.
The Start Planner is being used as my everyday planner. Keeping track of all of the things I must get done.
As planners go, the Start Planner is quite thick, but it really packs in a lot of tracking tools to keep me on schedule with my goals.
Shall we take a tour?
Once open, there is a pocket on the left for keeping important papers. On the first page, there is a spot for your name, phone number and email.
I "hearted" out my phone number since I need to keep that private. To the right are all of the fabulous tabs.
The tabs start with Goals, Projects, Finances, and then the calendar starts. The month tabs are abbreviated with the first letter of the month. "J" for January, "F" for February...you get the picture.
These are my daily essentials; fun pens, planner, paper clips (I clip invitations or school notices into my planner), phone and computer.
The first section is dedicated to goals. I should have taken a picture of all of the sections before I filled them in. But, alas, I didn't. Anyhoo, the goals section is a great place to write down goals, put action steps to them and track them.
Section 2 is designated to Projects. I loved this section since I have so many projects that I'm juggling. There are several pages in this section to give ample space to write down all of those projects.
Next up is the financial section. I am in charge of keeping track of our household finances and I found the finance section to be very thorough.
Once you are in the the monthly section, there is a clip in ruler in order to keep your spot within the planner.
Alright, here is a shot of my day. The page is laid out with an hourly day on the left and a daily to do list on the right. Yes, I needed to dye my hair today. LOL.
Here's the complete breakdown of the Start Planner:
• DAILY hourly schedule, to-do list, dinner & daily notes
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT break down each project to steps & set due dates!
• MONTHLY Overview
• YEARLY 2016 & 2017 year at-a-glance
• FINANCES monthly budgets, track health insurance co-pays, & mileage logs
• GOAL SETTING create action steps & achieve your goals
• DEDICATED PLANNING PAGES monthly gifting reminders, vacations, holiday organizing, entertainment & charity
• HEALTH PLANNING working out, supplements/vitamins, water intake, calories in & out
• FOOD plan, budget, monthly & weekly groceries, & make dinner schedules
As you can see this planner really covers a lot of territory. I also love the fact it has a section for vacation planning. Perfect for listing favorite hotels, restaurants, etc. I love popping on Hotels.com to check out new places to stay when I'm in vacation planning mode. This planner is perfect for running a household, blog, and business.
