Hello World! I meant to post this earlier today but, I got interrupted. Little Dedicated took a tumble and split her eyebrow open. I have never seen so much blood. So, the afternoon plans got pushed to the back burner so that we could go to the emergency room. She was a little trooper and took 5 stitches through her brow. She's just fine now, but a little tired from the trauma and crying. Whew, this was our first trip to the emergency room. I'm glad it's over with. Just like any mother, I hate to see my baby in pain.
Okay, now back to sweet normalcy.
Here's a little Christmas vignette I put together.
Jim Shore piece, birdhouse, ceramic trees and church.
One of my favorite lanterns, a sweet Christmas plate with another Jim Shore piece in the back.
One of the villages in the Family Room. I kept this one simple and didn't put down any snow.
You can see our big, fat tree in the background. Little Dedicated helped me decorate this tree. She's such a sweet little helper.
The large sideboard has been moved into the voice studio and the big village placed on top.
A couple of years back I purchased two sheets of styrofoam and cut it to form varying levels for my village.
A close-up of one of the Victorian houses.
Another pretty house.
Back in the Family room above the entertainment center I put up the log cabin nestled among some small trees. Of course, I also hung one of my glitzy garlands.
The loaded down Christmas tree.
A little blue vignette on the bar.
Here's baby Cozette. Look at that little tummy. I will leave you with this sweet shot. Little Cozi waiting for Misty to come back inside.
That's it for my Christmas decor. I have yet to decorate the Playroom tree and I'm not sure if I will get the time. However, Little Dedicated may tug on my heart strings to persuade me to get it decorated.
I hope you will come back tomorrow to see who the top 4 fan favorites are from last week's Make it Pretty Monday party. Have a lovely evening and remember to be kind to one another! Fear Not!
Toodles,
Kathryn

Its all so sweet and magical, I don't know which is my favorite. I like your lantern too. Love the colors on your tree as well. Cozette is lovely. Hope dear child heals with no scars. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful, Kathryn! All of your decor is just wonderful! Hope Little Dedicated is feeling much better now! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteKathryn!
ReplyDeleteThe very first day in our new apartment rental, over 22 years ago, my daughter, Liberty, who was two and a half at the time, was riding her tricycle around the place while my husband and I were unpacking and organizing, all in the same vicinity. Well, she managed to ride straight into those old radiators, with the sharp edges and her forehead literally split open, cutting her all the way down to eyebrow!! TALK ABOUT PANIC, (on my part)!! I thank God that my husband was home at the time, as we rushed her to the hospital, where she got 10 stitches, which are still clearly visible, but I just don't 'see' them anymore. It was the scariest day of my life, up to then, and every time I think of it, I tremble and my heat aches. But, in the scheme of things, I am grateful that she was okay. Glad your sweet little girl is fine, she sounds like a real trooper!
Now, I LOVE your new additions to your holiday decorating!! Beautiful and warm and cozy and charming!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

ReplyDeleteLove your village houses! I don't have the room for them but I always like looking at them, I find myself immediately in another world imagining and in wonder. Glad your daughter is OK. That's most important.
