The Chest Take Two

Hello World!  Remember when I told you I was stuck concerning the direction of my home decor?  Well, I am stuck no more.  I discovered a paint color and have fallen in love with it.  And, I've reintroduced gold back into the equation.  You might remember an old beat up little boys chest I bought at Goodwill a while back and completely had to strip her because of the multitude of baseball stickers layered upon each other; and then sand her and give her a couple of coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.  Well, I liked her, but I didn't love her.  But, I do love her now.  I think we shall call her Claudette.

The color is Benjamin Moore Van Deusen Blue in semi-gloss.

I know some will still love the previous look.  She was quite striking.

The pulls got a couple of coats of Rustoleum Metallic spray paint.  Don't be surprised if you see a ton more metallic.  I've been going a little crazy.

Guess what this is for.  Curtains!  I'm pulling down the blue and white toile and will put this up in it's place.  Don't worry.  I'm going to use the blue and white toile for pillows.

Sorry I didn't show you a wide shot.  I didn't want to give away what's on the wall.

Thanks for taking a look!  Hope to see you tonight for the Sunday Showcase.  Have a super groovy day and remember to be kind to one another!  Fear Not!

Toodles,
Kathryn

  3. Wow! you are such a teaser. Now I will have to stay tuned so I can see the other side. I love the dresser in the blue. Back in the day (in the seventies) I fell in love with federal blue. Almost the same as this new color. In fact I am still in love with that color.
