Hello World! No, I just couldn't let it alone. I had to buy another rug for the entryway. The Sophia rug from Ballard Designs I loved, but I was poking around one of their catalogs a few months ago and spied the Abby rug. My main colors are blue, white and beige, but I wanted to bring in a little green and a tad bit of red as some accent colors. Don't worry, Sophia is still here, just in a new spot and she'll probably get moved again, because the wheels are a turning. Let me introduce you to Abby.
Looking from the Family Room towards the front door.
This is what greets you now when you enter. The green in the rug looks super green in the picture, but in real life it is really muted. Plus this is with the afternoon sun pouring in.
There are several shades of blue represented, and just a touch of deep red.
Oh, be still my beating heart.
See pretty Sophia in the voice studio?
There she is. And, look who is lounging on Abby, sweet mama cat, Colette. The cats won. Just as long as they don't sharpen their claws on them they can lounge on them all they want. Sophia will probably end up in the master bath or maybe the upstairs bath if she fits. Don't worry I'll give you a full tour of the entire house one day.
She is a pretty one, don't you think? If you would like to check out the Abby rug for yourself, pop on over to Ballard Designs. And, no I wasn't compensated for shouting their praises. I just plain like them. Oh, how I wish they had a store here in Houston.
Thanks for checking out my new rug. Anything Blue is growing. She's the little blue engine that could. Click here to check out the blue and to join in the fun. And, don't forget to check back in tomorrow to see who the fan favorites will be from Make it Pretty Monday. I'm off to try and take some pics of the kittens and do some laundry. Have a lovely weekend and remember to be kind to one another! Fear Not!
Toodles,
Kathryn

ReplyDeleteLOVE it - and, well, if it gets the cats' approval you know you've won. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of Ballard Design too - have purchased from them many times - and they're sister store Grandin Road.

I like both rugs, but that new one is perfect next to your front door. Everybody should trust cats when it comes to decorating!
ReplyDeleteLove the new rug. The cat looks so peaceful. I am a HUGE Ballard fan and I wish they had a store in NJ. Now that I think about it maybe not, I would be there all the time so that could be a problem, LOL!!!
