Hello World! Happy Weekend! As promised, here are pictures of the finished (for now) entryway. No chatting, just pictures for your viewing pleasure.
Through the front door, Ballard Designs Sophia Rug, the Goodwill pedestal table, and Home Goods finds. Please ignore the big green leather sectional. She will soon be replaced by a beautiful leather couch and an equally lovely upholstered couch.
To the right, the dining room. The kitchen is through the archway to the left of the china hutch. Home Goods basket on floor, and more Home Goods goodies made it to the top of the china hutch. We had to get a new doorbell since the one we had did not have a cover on it when we moved in back in 2007. We couldn't find a cover that would fit the existing doorbell, so we got a new doorbell.
Sad little doorbell all naked with no cover.
I would like to find a pretty gate to go in front of the doorbell, but this pretty whatnot from Home Goods will do for now.
The vase was a recent gift from my Mother-in-law. I adore the muted colors.
Styled china hutch with fabric in the back.
Facing the door.
My Goodwill pedestal table I painted with Annie Sloan Chalk paint. Peggy the Pedestal Table was my first blog post. You can read about her here. The voice studio is to the left of the pedestal table.
My pretty little plant stand with a happy fern. The little fern is starting to fill out. She seems to like her spot here by the door and next to the voice studio.
The next project will be curtains and valances. I'll be breaking out the sewing machine next week. So, hopefully I'll be able to have at least a completed valance and a couple of panels. Also, I'm picking out paint for the Master Bedroom as well as waiting on the couches and new coffee table. Oh, and I ordered another Ballard Designs rug that should be here mid-July. The Sophia rug may get moved over to the voice studio and the new rug may go in the entryway. We'll see.
Check back tomorrow to see who were the top 4 fan favorites from last week's Make it Pretty Monday party. Anything Blue Friday is still live. Click here to add your blue post. If no blue, come on over and poke around at all the inspiration!
I'm off to help go put up the trampoline which is The Dedicated Daughter's early birthday present. She is over the moon with excitement. Don't quite blame her. I'm a little excited as well. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and remember to be kind to one another!

Sharing this with these lovely parties:
The entryway rug is just beautiful; you could use it for Anything Blue Friday! I also peeked into a couple of other rooms as we toured the entry and saw two-toned blue walls with white trim. A girl after my own heart...

It looks great Kathryn, I love the vignette on top of your china hutch! A gate up there is a super idea to cover the doorbell. My favorite piece of yours is the square blue gray table with the white trim near Peggy the pedestal, I loved the way that turned out!
