Hello World! Last week I showed you all of my new lanterns. This week I want to show you how we rearranged some things to accomodate my other Christmas gift that I will show you on Friday.
Here is the new home for the sideboard.
"Underneath" the stairs. Her drawers are used for I'm ashamed to admit the piles and piles of catalogues I need to look through. The cabinets underneath store some of The Dedicated Daughter's shoes she wears the most and my trusty flip flops.
This is where the sideboard was when we first got her.
Wow, look at the mondo log that is in the fireplace and all the cards on the mantel. lol
The little "walkway" leads to the hallway that I have yet to show you. Off the hallway you will find the Master Bedroom and Bath, laundry room, full guest bath, and my office or as we like to say the craft room where no crafts happen. The office used to be the nursery, but when The Dedicated Daughter moved upstairs to her little pink and yellow haven, I took over the nursery and filled it up.
See the chair by the little horse? The other piece that was there has been moved to the hallway. Shall we go take a stroll down the hallway. Mind you, no going into the rooms; they are not ready for you yet.
The compact disc holder was from Bombay Company. Remember that store? I was really sad to see it close. Anyhoo, this used to be in the family room, now this is her new home; at least for a while. You can see the guest bathroom in the reflection of the mirror.
I've got quite the plan for her once I store the cd's somewhere else. Would love to paint her and possibly mount her on a wall. The door that is open leads to the Master Bedroom and Bath.
The mirror was purchased in Fredericksburg when The Dedicated Husband and myself went for a nice weekend a couple of years back prior to blogging and prior to knowing that my color scheme was going to change to blue/white/beige.
Speaking of the husband, when I was taking pictures of this, he stopped and said, "You're going to paint the mirror, aren't you?" And, the answer is yes. I think I might make his head spin a bit.
What do you think of her new placement? Be sure to check back in on Thursday because another giveaway is going to be happening. And, on Friday, I'll show you my "big" Christmas present.
Make it Pretty Monday is really growing quickly. You people make me so happy. If you want to join the party or just look at the features, click here. Thank you for the visit! Have a pretty day and remember to be kind to one another! Fear Not!
