Hello World! Happy Monday and welcome to the third week of Make it Pretty Monday!
First off, sorry I'm late getting the party started. The Dedicated Daughter had a stomach virus all day yesterday and last night. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep. But, she seems to be on the mend. So far, she has kept down a cracker and some sprite. I'm so looking forward to a nap!
Now let's get to the features of last week's Make it Pretty Monday party.

Pretty Francine, over at Ethereal Plus What I Love taught us how to attach photos to an old window. Brillant!

Pretty Kathy, over at A Delightsome Life shared Julia Child's recipe for Reine de Saba (The Queen of Sheba Cake) with Glacage au Chocolat (Chocolate Icing). Everything I've made from my Julia Child cookbook has been absolutely perfect. I will definitely be giving this a try.

Pretty Kerry, over at House TalkN shared her friend, Jessica's house located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I seriously had a hard time picking a favorite photo to highlight. She had me sucked in with her use of blue shades and of course her white kitchen. This one was a little walk down memory lane for me since I lived in the East Bay of San Francisco for four years prior to moving back to Texas. Sighing. Beautiful house, Jessica! Thank you, Kerry for sharing it with us.

Pretty Sonya, over at Beyond the Screen Door gave a great tutorial on how to make this Betsy Ross Flag Pillow - Rag Quilt Style. Seriously, I love this! It's on my ever growing list of things to make.

Pretty Dawn, over at Creative Cain Cabin treated us to a lovely summer excursion on the front porch of her cabin. Dawn has some extraordinary photography skills as well as fantastic styling. Also, she has this great feature on her site called What I Wore Wednesday. I love all of the outfits she puts together. Not only can she style her surroundings, she can style herself!

Pretty Marty, over at A Stroll Thru Life gave us a lovely tour of her house. Since retiring, she and her husband have downsized and have made a lovely and inviting home. Marty has this wonderful knack of having just the right amount of items displayed so that the space isn't cluttered. I want to be like Marty when I grow up. Lovely house and lovely job making a house a home.

I love these pictures. I especially love the flag pillow and the all-white kitchen. Both remind me of the beach - which I am desperate for at this moment.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely pics. Wish I had one to share - but I think the sight of my kids on the roof of the car does not qualify ;-)
