More Color in the Garden

Hello World!  Happy Friday!  I've had this project done for a little bit, but have not had time to sit down and blog about it.  Other than flowers, I'm always on the lookout for ways to bring color in the garden.  I have a ton of hanging baskets which all seem to be brown, green or black.  So, I decided to paint them.  I had a little bit of chalk paint left over.  But, I didn't have enough for a furniture project; so instead of wasting it, I put it to good use.

A couple of shots of my pots pre-paint.  You can see the hanging baskets in the background.  Boring, boring, boring up against the fence.

So much better white up against the fence.

All of my baskets in a row.  Can you spy Camille sleeping on the fence ledge?

Camille getting up from her nap.

 My little birdhouse.

 More blooms in the garden.
The only pot I didn't paint.  It's too beautiful to touch.  My hydrangea will look lovely once she blooms.
Much better with a bit of color up against the fence.

 The amaryllis still blooming.

Have you painted anything for your garden?  It's amazing how a little pop of color makes the garden look more springy.

Anyhoo, thank you for the visit.  I'm off to lunch with my Mommy for my birthday which happens to be today.  I'm so joyful and content!  Wishing all of my lovelies a wonderful Resurrection Weekend and beautiful days.

Toodles,
Kathryn

  1. Wonderful flower pots! I love your torenia! That's one of my favorite annuals. The woven pot looks SO GOOD painted white!

I like your bird house, too. We have been getting house finches at our feeder this week. I hope they stick around because they are so pretty with their purple heads!

  19. Love your pretty pops of color along the fence and I love the idea of hanging the plants from it. I can't really hang pots on our porches because there is no solid ceiling or edges but the fence would do!

  24. Spring is such a great time to see all the new blooms and flowers. Your pots really pop against your fence. Your Camille is exactly like a cat I had, Baxter, they could be twins. Your last photo is of a Pentas? If so they are one of my favorites! Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best!
