There are little black stains that I cannot get out.
A close-up of the black stains around the drain.
Yellow water stains that are in the bottom corner of the sink.
More water stains.
I heard that an excellent cleaner for porcelain is Bar Keepers Friend.
After a little more than a minute of cleaning and no more black or yellow stains.
Next up will be my porcelain stove top.
Seriously, I do clean. These are stains that I haven't been able to get out. I know, gross!
Check back for the prettiness that will be my stovetop. Also, I will be posting pictures of the final reveal of the voice studio floor. It looks so pretty! Anyhoo, thank you for the visit and have a grand day! Remember to be kind to one another.
Toodles,
Kathryn

Hey Kathryn,
ReplyDeleteI've been using Bar Keepers friend for years, and I do mean years! I remember first being introduced to it by my girlfriends' mom who had very hard well water and this was what she always used. It's a great cleaner. I also use it on the bottom of my copper pans. In an instant, they are bright and shiny!
I am a friend of Bar Keepers friend too. I use it for the sink, of course, and the stove top too. I also use it on my Longaberger vitrified pottery - it will take those light grey utensil marks off in a jiffy.
ReplyDeleteMy mom always swore by bar keepers friend!
ReplyDeleteI like Bar Keeper's Friend too! It is a wonder! Your sink looks great! It is great for white dishes that get those black marks too! I appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness,
ReplyDeleteKathy
So, I am the gal who has walked by this 7,419 times at the grocery store and always wondered if it worked well. Now I know. I have the exact same sink that you do, and the lovely stains and hard water marks too. Cannot wait to try!

ReplyDeleteThat is a great product! I've been using it for years on my stainless steel sink because it doesn't scratch and on my glass cooktop. Works wonders. Your sink looks great! Isn't it wonderful to buy a product that really works?

ReplyDeletegreat tips! I've never used that product on my sink, but I have used that "stove cleaner" for flat top stoves on my sink, and it does really well. I would guess it might be very similar to this product.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing!

Hi, thanks for sharing this...Connie
ReplyDeleteI try to use "green" products for everything. But, I've found that well water leaves rust and mineral deposits that are more than a little stubborn. Bar Keepers Friend is the only thing I've found that eliminates both.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday. Hope to see you at the party each week.
Blessings,
Liz @ The Brambleberry Cottage
Oooh, thanks for the tips! I have almost the exact same sink and it drives me mad trying to keep it clean. Thanks for the tips! I'll keep my eyes peeled for Bar Keepers Friend :)
