Diaper Cakes

Hello World!  Have you seen the diaper cakes also known as nappy cakes?  You can't go to a baby shower without one of these cuties showing up as a gift.  Have you made a diaper cake?  I have yet to try to make one.  Fortunately, for us, we can purchase them pre-made!

Diaper cakes can include a lovely collection of gifts for the baby.  Bibs, washcloths, blankets, onesies, and the all important diapers or nappies are just some of the items that can be found in a diaper cake.

Cuteness overload.

These gifts are usually big hits at the baby showers I've attended.

This would definitely put a smile on a new mother's face!

What a special way to present baby gifts as well as bless the mother with some much needed items she will use on a daily basis.

Since diaper cakes are filled with practical items, they make an ideal baby gift.  Plus, they are adorable.

All mother's know how important it is to have to a lot of the necessary essentials on hand when the bundle of joy comes into the world.  Diaper cakes are a simple way to help meet those all important needs.

Tell me about the diaper cakes you've seen, or perhaps made yourself.

Thank you for popping in for a visit.  Have a beautiful day and remember to be kind to one another!

Toodles,

  1. Hi Kathryn - I've made a couple of diaper cakes and being a new mommy who received one at the baby shower, I thought it was the best thing ever!!!!! Tons of diapers, about 150 or so in different sized, and tons of useful accessories like rattles, pacifiers, etc. as the decorations. I really enjoyed both receiving and making them for others! It's really not to hard either, just takes a little time is all.

  3. Adorable! Here's another idea. I made a towel and washcloth cake for my daughter-in-law's shower. I found 2 little rubber duckies in wedding attire for the top. So glad we're done with showers for the moment lol!

  4. I have made just one so far - for my only niece. I enjoyed so much makeing it - it was 3 stores high, had 100 diapers, also baby comb, rattles, shampoo, body lotion, soap, bottle, cotton ear sticks, 3 duck toys for a bath, a card, lots of ribbons. I didn't want a pink cake, so I looked for green and yellow products. I also made her a garland with her name and wraped it around the cake so she can use it in her room over years.
